The British now prefer France to Spain, when buying a second home. The Hexagon has become the subject of the country preferred English, Scots and Welsh more, says a study published Monday, September 26 in London by the real estate group Savills and the HomeAway website.

Our neighbors across the Channel properties are particularly fond of “traditional“, in France they are looking for “easy access” and “the image of stability” enjoyed by the local property market – contrary to Spain.

The study notes that the British chose their property based on proximity to bars, restaurants, beaches and airports, as well as cultural attractions and golf courses.
