Talent – medical and pharmacy professions” is the name that the government plans to retain for a possible residence permit, intended for health professionals. His goal ? Attracting foreign doctors and “meeting the need for recruitment” in this sector.
This new multi-year residence permit concerns doctors “whatever their specialty “, midwives, dental surgeons and pharmacists, according to the text sent to the Council of State on Monday.
According to article 7 of the text, this card is intended for health professionals and their families “as soon as they are recruited by a public or private non-profit health establishment”.
Issuance of the card subject to the green light from ARS
“This title aims to meet the need for recruitment of qualified health personnel in health establishments or medico-social establishments”, in particular because these foreign practitioners cannot at present always be hired ” for lack of a residence permit fully responding to the specificity of these situations “, justifies the executive. The text thus plans to condition the issuance of the title to an authorization from the regional health agency. Its period of validity, from 1 to 4 years, will depend on the validation by the practitioner of the “EVC”, the knowledge verification tests.
Responding to health workforce and foreign doctors shortages
